Dr. Bettina Vollath is a distinguished legal expert and politician. She graduated from the Graz Commercial Academy and earned her doctorate from the Faculty of Law at Karl-Franzens University in Graz. Dr. Vollath began her career working in two law firms in Graz and pursued advanced training as a mediator.
Her career took a turn when she transitioned into politics through a “lateral entry.” From 2005 to 2015, Dr. Vollath served as a member of the Styrian state government, overseeing various departmental responsibilities, including health. She then became President of the Styrian State Parliament from 2015 to 2019. Following her tenure in regional politics, she served as a Member of the European Parliament from 2019 to 2022.
