Dr. Iris Gerner is a distinguished veterinary researcher specializing in Veterinary Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine. She earned her degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Vienna and is currently affiliated with the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, where she works at the Equine Clinic and holds a Venia Legendi in “Regenerative Medicine.”
Before her current role, Dr. Gerner served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Translational Centre for Regenerative Medicine in Leipzig. She also held the positions of International Product Manager and Key Account Manager at a private/public cord blood bank from 2007 to 2011, where she was involved in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines and regulatory affairs.
Dr. Gerner’s research is dedicated to the early diagnosis and targeted treatment of chronic diseases and disorders, making use of metabolic phenotyping.
